Garlic is a very powerful antimicrobial and a true natural broad-spectrum antibiotic.
It can effectively kill bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, yeasts, and molds,
including many that cause serious disease in humans.
The antimicrobial activities of the crude juices of Allium sativum, Allium cepa, Raphanus sativus have been found to be strongly active on Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas pyocyaneus, Salmonella typhi and Bacillus subtilis., and also some bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold, and parasites are killed or inhibited by garlic or its constituents.

well for: PMS, Menopausal symptoms, cramps…it is a great cardiac herb as well strengthening
the heart and increasing circulation.
Burdock is an anti-fungal, antiviral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory herbal
ingredient. Arctium stimulates blood and lymph flow. It is great for chronic skin
eruptions and compliments any formula well that contains many different herbs that kill
microbes so that the dead matter and microbial toxins can be quickly eliminated from
the system.
This Chinese medicine herb is very versatile especially in strengthening the immune
system: it is an adaptogenc herb, and has anti-tumor activity, promotes tissue regeneration,
anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, cardio tonic, assists kidney function, and antioxidant.

Specific Indications "Bad Blood"; to correct fluid depravation, with tendency to sepsis and malignancy, best shown in its power in gangrene, carbuncles, boils, sloughing and phagedenic ulcerations, and the various forms of septicemia. The specific biochemical actions of Echinacea has never been fully elicited, but it is purported to be increase phagocytosis (engulfing of virulent microbes in our blood) and to increase our white blood cell count substantially. Thereby stimulating and eliminating waste products from the blood strengthening our immune systems. Echinacea can be used externally: as a local antiseptic and anesthetic as well as internally: as an exceptionally strong antiseptic, tonic and stimulant of the immune system.
Specific Echinacea (Eclectic Institute): A Lloyd process concentrated extract of Echinacea angustifolia root. Each cc represents 1gram of root (5 times concentration of tincture). Circa 1900, Eclectic doctors were typically using the Lloyd Brothers Echinacea angustifolia root extract called Specific Echinacea. After 13 years of study beginning with its original professional introduction in 1885 with Dr. John King, John Uri Lloyd had determined that the characteristic principles of the dried root that produced a tingling and numbness of the tongue required a high alcohol concentration for extraction.1 Anything weaker than two parts alcohol to one part water did not extract the principles well.2
In 1910 a treatise was prepared on the use of Specific Echinacea externally and internally for the treatment of bites of venomous serpents, other reptiles, and insects in adults and children in the South and Southwest. Compiled by John Uri Lloyd and edited by J.S. Niederkorn, M.D., cases of bites treated successfully with Lloyd Brothers Echinacea involved 19 snakes (including 8 rattlesnakes, 8 copperheads, and 3 water moccasins), 13 spiders (including 3 black widows), 2 tarantulas, 2 centipedes, 2 bees, 2 stinging lizards, 1 rat, and multiple red ant bites to an infant. No ill effects were reported. Niederkorn stated that, considering the evidence, it might be considered criminal for a physician to neglect administering echinacea extracts, regardless of other treatments employed.3
Echinacea extracts were used internally and as a gargle for serious sore throats.4
Seriously painful throats of a deep red color were another condition commonly treated with echinacea, when there was marked lymph node inflammation in the neck. Full strength Specific Echinacea or a 50% dilution was applied directly to the throat, while doses were also given internally.5,6
Specific Echinacea was sometimes used to treat serious infections that would now considered the exclusive province of antibiotics.In 1924 it was noted that the sales of their Echinacea preparations were seven times greater than those of any other product made by the Lloyd Brothers.7

Internally, the recommended dose was 5-60 drops in a little water every 1-4 hours. Locally, a mixture of one ounce Specific Echinacea to 3-8 ounces of water was applied. For venomous bites and stings, where its beneficial effects were often instant and marked, 15-60 drops were given in a little water every 15-30 minutes. A bandage over the affected area was kept saturated; initially, it was applied at full strength, but later was mixed with three parts water.8
In 1934 healthy students at the Eclectic Medical College in Cincinnati volunteered in a project to study the effects of echinacea by taking therapeutic doses for four days. Specific Echinacea was taken in water at doses equivalent to 2-15 grains of the dried root. An increase in the total white blood cell count was evident which reached a peak in two thirds of the subjects after 24 hours and in one third after 48 hours. For all subjects the leukocytes increased from 24-48 hours, accounted for mostly by neutrophils after 24 hours and by lymphocytes after 48 hours. Total and The Top 10 Classic Eclectic and Naturopathic Formulas 17 differential counts were relatively normal from 72-96 hours. The results seemed to support the use of Specific Echinacea for acute infectious conditions.9
In 1936 Specific Echinacea was first recommended to the naturopathic profession as an alterative for septic conditions. In such cases 20 drops of Specific Echinacea in a little water every 4 hours was given for recurring boils, carbuncles, ulcerations, and lymphangitis. Septic fevers, typhoid fever, and acute nephritis were treated using 20 drops every 2 hours until the crisis passed. Specific Echinacea was given internally and also applied locally as a wet dressing for snake bites, cuts, wounds, insect stings, etc.10 The 1953 Naturae Medicina & Naturopathic Dispensatory reiterated these recommendations. Internal use of Specific Echinacea combined with undiluted external application was advised particularly for insect stings, boils, carbuncles, and certain septicemias.11
The Lloyd Brothers used the dried root of Echinacea angustifolia in their products12 and manufactured Specific Echinacea with 65% alcohol at the same drug strength as a fluid extract (1:1).13 Unlike the last official National Formulary 65% ethanolic fluid extract,14 the Lloyd Brothers product involved special processing for removal of inert material.13 Eclectic Institute’s Specific Echinacea, an Echinacea angustifolia root 1:1 extract made in the Lloyd extractor with 65% ethanol, was given to male rats in their drinking water in a preclinical study. This was found to increase antigen-specific production of both the primary and secondary immunoglobulin G response.15

Ginsengs in general are great to aid the body in dealing with the day to day stress of life. Siberian
Ginseng is one of the best with helping the body adapt to stressful situations (internal or external)
and improving adrenal function. It increases endurance and concentration and strengthens digestion,
strengthens the kidneys and enhances overall resistance to disease.
This is a perfect herb for colds and flu. It will help stimulate sweating, as well as
being a good anti-spasmodic, diuretic, laxative in large doses. Eupatorium perfolatium
will help clean out any waste material that your body produces while eliminating flu
virus. This very versatile herb enhances the immune system, making it great not only
for colds and flu but also for: intermittent fevers, rheumatism, and inflammation in
the lungs.
Eupatorium perforlatum is used as a diaphoretic, to support the immune system, as an anti-spasmotic and anti-catarrhal. It is commonly used when muscle ache is felt during the flu, and because of the pollysaccharides contained within it enhances resistance to infections.

Goldenseal is a member of the Buttercup family. It is the premier antimicrobial. It kills
group A streptococci very efficientely as well as many other virulent bacteria. Goldenseal
is used for colds, flu, acute and chronic middle ear infections, sore throats (need to
touch the mucous membrane to heal optimally (gargle first then swallow)).
It is effective against bacteria, yeast and protozoa.
Its common uses have been the same as for other liquid extracts of goldenseal. These include diluted local applications for the inflammatory EENT conditions of conjunctivitis, otitis, rhinitis, and pharyngitis, on a tampon for leucorrhea and cervical erosions, and for passive bleeding is cases such as hemorrhoids. Used locally and internally, it may reduce passive uterine bleeding including from some fibroids. When used internally for its tonic effects as in profuse mucosal secretions from chronic inflammation, it can be taken at a dose of 2-4 ml.

For a 1:1 extract prepared with official alcohol, replacement of the alcohol with 1/3 glycerin and 2/3 water removed the gums, oils and resins but left the berberine and otheralkaloids in their natural combination.
